The Edgewater Beach Apartments building is one of Chicago’s most recognizable residential landmarks along Lake Michigan. Originally opened in 1928 as part of the famous Edgewater Beach Hotel complex, the building was designed in a striking pink architectural style that still stands out against the skyline today. Over the years, it has remained a well-known part of the Edgewater neighborhood and a reminder of Chicago’s luxury lakefront history during the early twentieth century.
The building was later converted into residential apartments and condominiums, but many of its original design elements and historic character remain intact. Its location directly along the lakefront offers incredible views of both the water and the city, while the surrounding neighborhood continues to blend historic architecture with modern Chicago living.
