We ventured away from the Strip for a bit, and hit up the Rio for Kiss Glow-in-the-Dark Miniature Golf. I found a great price for tickets on Travelocity which ended up being less than $20 for two people. Totally worth it, even if we felt a little rushed through the course.
Ah dangit! Guy Fieri’s OTHER restaurant! Why oh why did I not make it a point to set foot in a place called El Burro Borracho at some point while in Vegas? WHY?! (In case y’all can’t tell, yes I do love the Fieri man. I regret nothing.) Next time, Guy. I promise.
Speaking of food, this dinner I do remember. This lovely retro place is called Roxy’s Diner. Our server was the coolest! I ordered the Roxy’s Platter appetizer as my meal, and he had I had a discussion about my love and passion for mozzarella sticks. I think I have him a good laugh that day.
Speaking of those mozzarella sticks, they had jalapeño in them, and they were delicious. Perfectly crispy outside and warm gooey cheese inside. Do y’all know how hard it is to find properly cooked cheese sticks? It is very hard, trust me.
Now, since we were so close, we hopped the bus and headed to Fremont Street. No trip there would be complete without popping into the Golden Nugget.
Grabbed a beer, watched the light show, picked up a few souvenirs and headed back toward the hotel.
