JEWISH GRACELAND CEMETERY, PART 2 (SOUTH SIDE) – CHICAGO, IL

Thursday, October 16, 2014 // 2 Comments

As a follow up to the previous post on Jewish Graceland Cemetery, the following photos are of the southern section. Once again, this area is neglected and overgrown, though there are actual pathways to follow here and it was much easier to walk through than the north section.

This part ended up being my favorite part of the cemetery, but unfortunately I had the least amount of time here because it was getting late and I had to leave before the gates closed. As much as I love cemeteries, I don’t want to get locked inside one! 😀 I’m definitely going back again soon to spend more time here.

If there are any other Chicagoland cemeteries you’d be interested in me visiting, please let me know in the comments! Or, if you have a family member located in a cemetery here and you want help finding their grave or obtaining photos, feel free to contact me and I will see if I can assist in any way.

  1. Hello.
I live in Europe and am searching for inscriptions on the tomstone of a relative, deceased in 1956 and buried in Graceland cimetery.
    Could you help ?
